Female Photographers

The Jubilee Conference of the Hungarian Society for the History of Photography (MAFOT) at the Petőfi Literary Museum and the Hungarian National Museum

The ten-year-old Hungarian Society for the History of Photography invites researchers interested in the history of photography to think together. At the conference in May 2017, the presentations will investigate female artists, individual careers, changing opportunities for female amateur or for professional photographers, relations between literature and photography and between genders and photographic discourses, from the beginnings up to the present.
